About us

Welcome to Pack 377 of Boulder, Colorado

Welcome to Pack 377's Web Site. Pack 377 is chartered by the Shepherd Of The Hills Lutheran Church and is based in the Boulder, Colorado area.

Pack 377 is dedicated to a lively Cub Scout experience with activities that capture the interest of boys yet are fun for the entire family, including siblings. Our Cub Scouts learn essential skills and enjoyment of outdoor activities, community involvement, personal safety, sports, and the environment.

Scouting is fun with a purpose, and the purpose is to raise boys who respect themselves and others, and who have strong character. We also participate in Scouting to encourage families to spend more time together.

Pack 377 is open to all boys between first and fifth grades. Boys may join the pack at any time, whether or not they’ve belonged to a pack before.

We are non-denominational. Scouting internationally embraces all religions and offers achievement awards for learning about 25 of the world’s religions.

Pack 377 consists of families that live mostly in the Gunbarrel area of Boulder, CO. Our Scouts primarily attend Heatherwood Elementary, Boulder Country Day and other schools in the Gunbarrel area. We do have some families in Erie & Longmont in our Pack who's children attend Heatherwood. We welcome anyone interested in joining our Pack.

How we’re organized
Our pack is about 45 boys organized by dens. Each den has 6 to 15 boys of similar grade level. Dens are a great way to make and stay in touch with friends. Boys may join at any grade.
• 1st – graders are in Tigers
• 2nd – graders are in Wolves
• 3rd – graders are in Bears
• 4th-and 5th – graders are in Webelos

Our leadership is both mothers and fathers. Single parents are welcome. Our activities are for families. Sibilings and parents are always welcome.

Meetings
Dens meet one or two times a month; boys do activities toward requirements for achievement awards in their Scout Handbooks. Parents usually take turns organizing the den meetings.

Pack meetings are one evening a month, and feature award recognition and fun activities.

Please contact Kent Katnik at kentkatnik@comcast.net or 303-517-8361 if you would like information about joining Scouts.

Whether you are a member of our pack or a Scout or Scouter from around the country, we welcome you to browse our pages. We've tried to put together a good resource for those who are involved in our Pack and in Cub Scouts in general.

We welcome your comments or suggestions on how we can serve you better. This site is a continual work in progress so please give us feedback on how to be of further service to you.
